Mardi Gras is actually a season with the parades starting with the Krewe du Vieux. Mardi Gras day itself is filled with more than any one person can experience. So everyone in New Orleans has a different Mardi Gras day. A partial list includes the parades of Zulu and Rex, Mardi Gras Indians parading in their neighborhoods, barbecuing at Orleans and Claiborne Avenues, the Royal Run of Rex in Audubon Park, the Society of St. AnneParade in the Faubourg Marigny, and the Bourbon Street Awards in the French Quarter.
